Jimmy Chion

Jimmy Chion is a highly experienced design professional currently serving as a Staff UX Designer at Google since January 2025. Previously, Chion held the role of Principal Engineer at Dr. B from February 2021 to January 2025, and co-founded Vax Standby in early 2021, shortly before its acquisition by Dr. B. From February 2019 to February 2021, Chion worked as a Creative Technologist at The New York Times and founded ballot.fyi, maintaining leadership from August 2016 to November 2020. Chion has also contributed as a Lecturer at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, teaching "Design for Inclusion." Additional roles include Co-Founder and CTO of By The Bay, Design Technologist at NIO, Artist in Residence at Autodesk, and Principal Designer at IDEO, where significant projects involved collaboration with major clients. Jimmy Chion holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Stanford University.
