Joy Babafemi has extensive experience in software engineering, currently serving as a Software Engineer at Google since February 2021, having previously held the position of Software Engineering Resident at the same company from March 2020 to February 2021. Joy began a professional journey at Intertech in March 2017 as a Java SE 8 Developer Bootcamp participant. Additional experiences include working as a Summer Research Assistant and Computer Lab Assistant at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, focusing on troubleshooting software issues and conducting research in materials science. Joy also held positions as a Graduate Assistant at the Office of STEP Support and an IoT Solutions Software Engineering Intern at NXP Semiconductors. Academic achievements include earning a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2019 and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2017.
