Kaiyuan Yao

Kaiyuan Yao is a seasoned research scientist currently employed at Google since September 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a postdoctoral research associate at Columbia University in the City of New York from July 2019 to July 2022, and as a graduate student researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from June 2013 to July 2019. Earlier roles encompassed positions as a graduate research assistant at Berkeley Lab from September 2015 to December 2017 and at the University of California, Los Angeles from August 2012 to June 2013. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering from Zhejiang University, followed by a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
