Kamran Torabi is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in hardware development and systems design. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering and Head of Hardware at Google since January 2014, Kamran has a proven track record of leadership in prominent technology firms. Previously, as VP of Engineering at Cadence Design Systems, Kamran spearheaded the development of advanced hardware emulation platforms that led to the creation of the Cadence Palladium Z1. Kamran's tenure at Cisco Systems included roles as Senior Director of Engineering, where significant contributions involved the development of Metro Ethernet ASICs and successful switching products that generated substantial revenue. Kamran co-founded Greenfield Networks, which was acquired by Cisco, and established key products that enhanced Cisco's market presence. Early career experiences at Grand Junction Networks and Sierra Research and Technology contributed to foundational developments in Ethernet switching technology.
