Kate Murphy Zeman has extensive experience in merchandising and content marketing, beginning with a role as Assistant Editor at Putnam Berkeley Publishers/Grosset Books. Zeman became a founding member of the editorial team at Barnes & Noble.com, progressing to Director of Merchandising, where responsibilities included optimizing merchandising strategies across multiple subject areas. Following this, Zeman served as VP of Content Marketing and Merchandising at iAmplify, before taking on the role of Senior Director of Online Merchandising at Scholastic, focusing on enhancing e-commerce systems. At Google, Zeman advanced through multiple leadership roles, including Global Head of Books & Scholar Partnerships and Global Head of News & Publishing Partnerships, overseeing strategic partnerships and business development. Currently, Zeman serves as an Advisory Board Member at the NYU SPS Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts. Zeman holds a BA in English Literature and Biology from Brown University.
