Kathan Shukla is an experienced software engineer with a background in computer vision, machine learning, and firmware development. At Google from February 2018 to May 2022, Kathan contributed to the News Ranking team, launching features for 460 million user queries daily, and worked on the Computer Vision/Machine Learning team at Android Automotive, implementing CNN-based pipelines and object detection algorithms. Prior experience includes a role as Firmware Engineer II at SanDisk®, where Kathan designed Flash Translation Layers for SSDs and improved system performance, as well as an internship where low-level SSD firmware algorithms were developed.
