Lieven Verslegers

Lieven Verslegers has over a decade of experience in the field of electrical engineering, specializing in areas such as silicon photonics and nanophotonics. Early career experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Stanford University's Shanhui Fan Group, focusing on nanophotonics and organic photovoltaics. Following that, Lieven served as a Senior Engineer at Luxtera, where contributions were made to silicon photonics development. Since 2014, Lieven has been a Senior Staff Hardware Engineer and Tech Lead at Google, working on platforms infrastructure engineering, particularly interconnect technologies for data center applications. Academic credentials include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Ghent University, complemented by a Master's degree from Télécom Paris.
