Mark Shaffer

Mark Shaffer is a seasoned engineering and regulatory compliance professional with extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams across various industries, including technology and product certification. From 2011 to 2014, Mark held key engineering management roles at UL, overseeing global engineering and laboratory operations while managing substantial budgets. At Nest, Mark served as both Regulatory Compliance Engineer and later as Manager of Regulatory Compliance Engineering, focusing on the certification of innovative products. Since November 2018, Mark has been the Manager of Regulatory Compliance Engineering at Google, responsible for ensuring international compliance for new technologies. Mark is currently pursuing an Advanced Program Management degree at Stanford University, complementing a robust professional background characterized by leadership in engineering design, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
