Priya Baliga

Priya Baliga is a highly experienced technology leader currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering for Ads at Google since April 2012. In this role, Priya oversees technology choices and engineering principles for Ads infrastructure, focusing on maximizing engineering efficiency through the strategic use of GenAI. Prior to this position, Priya was the Director of Engineering for Google Cloud, where responsibility included planning and optimizing compute resources for Google's global datacenter assets. Priya's earlier experience includes a tenure at IBM as the Technical Lead for the Big Data Advanced Technology Development, successfully transitioning big data technology from research to product. Priya began a career in technology as a Senior Software Analyst at Unum and a Software Engineer at Nortel Networks, complemented by academic qualifications in Computer Science and Network and Internet Security from San Jose State University and the University of California, Berkeley, respectively.
