R. Preston McAfee

R. Preston McAfee is a distinguished scientist at Google since May 2020, with prior experience as chief economist at Microsoft from June 2014 to March 2018, and research director at Google from April 2012 to June 2014. Before these roles, R. Preston McAfee served as chief economist at Yahoo from October 2006 to April 2012 and held the position of professor and executive officer at Caltech from January 2004 to June 2009. R. Preston McAfee holds multiple degrees from Purdue University, including a Ph.D. in Economics, an MS in Mathematics, and an MS in Economics, all attained between January 1976 and June 1980.
