Raymond-Noel Kono is an experienced Principal Reliability Engineer currently working at Google and Lumotive since October 2022. Previously, Kono served as Quality & Reliability Manager/Lead at Microsoft from August 2016 to September 2022, focusing on the reliability qualification of specialized compute servers and leading cross-functional teams. Kono's career began at Intel, where responsibilities included leading a multi-geographical engineering team in the qualification of Itanium and Xeon Server CPUs and developing advanced reliability models. Prior experience also includes a role as Staff Process Engineer and co-founder of the QRTS lab at New Focus, where Kono managed material analysis and developed Q&R tests for tunable lasers. Kono holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.
