Robert Lin

Senior Silicon Engineer

Robert Lin possesses extensive experience in engineering and silicon technology. Beginning as a Senior Engineer at Realtek from February 2007 to April 2012, Robert defined the Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) of microcontrollers utilized in the Cypher Engine, focusing on algorithms such as AES, TDES, and SHA256. Following this, Robert held positions as a Staff Engineer at HGST (June 2012 - September 2014), where responsibilities included designing enterprise SSD controllers and managing system bridge processes. From November 2014 to December 2021, Robert served as an Application Consultant at Synopsys Inc, overseeing the PrimeTime tool for timing and signal integrity analysis, while also engaging with customers on ECO solutions. Currently, Robert is a Senior Silicon Engineer at Google, starting in November 2021. Academically, Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Chi Nan University and a Master of Engineering in Electronic Design Automation from NCTU.
