Ron Kao

Ron Kao is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on mechanical and process engineering. Currently serving as a TPM III at Google since July 2025, Ron has previously held key positions such as Staff Process Engineer at Dexcom and Staff Mechanical Engineer at Illumina, where contributions to both engineering and leadership were significant. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, including roles as Senior Mechanical Engineer at BD and Mechanical Engineer at Leica Biosystems, Ron has diverse industry experience spanning over a decade. Educational qualifications include a Master of Advanced Studies in Medical Device Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both obtained from UC San Diego.
