Rupam Bhattacharyya

Rupam Bhattacharyya is a skilled biostatistician and data scientist with extensive experience in Bayesian modeling and data integration for precision oncology and infectious diseases. Currently serving as a Data Scientist III at Google since July 2025, Rupam previously held the position of Postdoctoral Biostatistician at Michigan Medicine from June 2023 to June 2025, where efforts included designing Bayesian models for multi-omic data integration and developing predictive frameworks for immunotherapy response. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at BayesRx Research Group from September 2018 to August 2023, focusing on Bayesian machine learning models and the creation of interactive R Shiny dashboards. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and degrees in Mathematics and Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute, where distinction was achieved at both undergraduate and master's levels.
