Shadi Khalek

Shadi Khalek, PhD, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles at Google since September 2011, including positions as Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager focused on Engineering Productivity for Google Compute Engine and GCP infrastructure. Shadi has led cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and release velocity, developing critical test infrastructure utilized by numerous engineers and products. Prior experience includes internships at major tech companies such as GMail and Yahoo!, as well as a research assistantship at The University of Texas at Austin, where Shadi conducted research on automated database engine testing. Educational qualifications include a PhD and Master of Engineering in Software Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BS in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut.
