Shiv Ramamurthi is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in driving growth and innovation across major technology companies. Currently at Google since December 2018, Shiv leads large engineering and cross-functional organizations focused on the growth of Google Search. Previous roles include leading engineering teams at Facebook for the growth of Newsfeed and Cross-App Messaging, and overseeing Core Engagement at Nextdoor. With earlier experience at Twitter, Zynga, Yahoo! Inc., and Polyvore, Shiv has developed expertise in managing software engineering teams and driving product advancements. Shiv holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University, a PhD from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
