Sonya Mollinger

Software Engineer

Sonya Mollinger is a highly experienced software engineer and researcher with a strong academic background in physics and applied physics. Sonya began an academic career as an undergraduate researcher at Harvard University, undertaking tasks related to sample growth, vacuum chamber construction, and data analysis, while also developing a tectonic plate rotation model at the Radcliffe Institute. Following this, Sonya worked at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy analyzing astronomical data to identify undiscovered star clusters. From 2011 to 2016, Sonya pursued a PhD in Applied Physics at Stanford University as a graduate student researcher in the Salleo Laboratory. Subsequently, Sonya transitioned to industry roles as a software developer at Intel Corporation, specializing in Python and C++, before joining Google as a software engineer.
