Stanela Khalil

Stanela Khalil is an accomplished language professional with extensive experience in interpretation, translation, and localization. From 2009 to 2015, Stanela served as a Consultant Interpreter and Translator for the United Nations, leading a team that delivered language services for various humanitarian fields in the MENA region, collaborating with reputable organizations such as the International Rescue Committee and UNHCR. Following this role, Stanela was a Localization Trainer at Tarjama, focusing on empowering women in Saudi Arabia and the UAE through online translation courses. As a Localization Instructor at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Stanela taught Media Translation courses to Master's students. At Google from 2020 to 2021, Stanela held multiple roles including Process and Operations Manager and Cloud Localization Lead, managing a large team dedicated to Arabic localization of Google products. Stanela holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Interpretation and Translation from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, an advanced degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Universidad de Zaragoza, and is currently pursuing a Stanford LEAD Professional Certificate.
