Suraj Sheth

Suraj Sheth is an accomplished professional in the field of machine learning, currently serving as the Head of Machine Learning for Google Search in India since January 2023, where responsibilities include managing a team of ML scientists and engineers on innovative projects, including Gemini (LLM) training. Prior to this role, Suraj spent over a decade at Amazon from January 2012 to January 2023, advancing from a Machine Learning Scientist to a Senior Machine Learning Scientist and Manager, leading multiple teams and driving the Machine Learning charter for the organization. Earlier experience includes a position as a Computer Scientist specializing in machine learning at Adobe, where novel algorithms for personalization, attribution, and NLP were developed. Suraj holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and completed secondary education at SRN Adarsh College in Bangalore.
