Victor Costan is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in both research and software development. At Google, Victor served as a Staff Software Engineer from July 2016 to April 2022, leading the Chrome Storage team and contributing to Fuchsia projects. Prior to Google, Victor worked at Heap as a Software Engineer, developing and open-sourcing client libraries for server-side APIs. Victor also has substantial research experience from the MIT Computer Science and AI Lab, focusing on secure distributed systems and Intel's SGX security enhancements. Additionally, Victor gained early experience through internships at Dropbox, enhancing the Dropbox API and leading a team in developing dropbox.js. Victor holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
