Vidya Gopalakrishnan

Vidya Gopalakrishnan is a seasoned security engineer with extensive experience in information security. Currently, Vidya holds the position of Senior Security Engineer at Google since November 2023, having previously served as a Security Engineer at the same company since May 2022. Prior to Google, Vidya worked at Palo Alto Networks in various roles including Senior Staff Security Engineer and Staff Security Engineer, along with a position as a Security Operations Engineer and an intern in information security focused on Red/Blue teams. Earlier experience includes a summer research fellowship at the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology and a two-year stint at Ford Motor Company as a College Graduate in IT Security. Vidya earned a Bachelor of Technology from SASTRA University and a Master's Degree from Carnegie Mellon University. Formal education also includes earlier studies at St. Joseph of Cluny in Puducherry.
