Vint Cerf is a prominent figure in the field of computer science and internet technology, currently serving as the Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google since October 2005. Prior to this role, Cerf was the Chairman of the Board at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) from June 1999 to December 2008, where vint was the second chairman. Cerf also held the position of Senior Vice President at MCI from September 1994 to October 2005, focusing on internet engineering and technology strategy. Earlier in their career, Cerf served as the founding President of the Internet Society from June 1992 to June 1995 and was Vice President at the Corporation for National Research Initiatives, during which vint contributed to the founding of the Internet Society. Cerf holds a PhD in Computer Science from UCLA and a BS in Mathematics from Stanford University.
