Yale Song is a Senior Staff Research Scientist and Manager at Google since July 2025, specializing in computer vision, multimedia, and multimodal machine learning. Previously, Song served as a Research Scientist at Meta in the FAIR Perception team from April 2022 to May 2025 and was a founding member of the Computer Vision Group at Microsoft Research from March 2018 to April 2022. At Yahoo from July 2014 to March 2018, Song was a Research Scientist and Research Lead in the Computer Vision Group, directing research agendas and managing talent in the video organization. Song's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where significant research in human behavior understanding and machine learning was conducted. Prior experience also includes internships at IBM and a role as a Software Engineer in the Republic of Korea Army.
