Yanan Zhang

Yanan Zhang is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in diverse sectors, including cloud computing, investment banking, and renewable energy. Currently employed at Google since April 2020, Yanan focuses on technical infrastructure for Google Cloud. Prior experience includes a role as Software Engineer/AVP at Barclays Investment Bank, where Yanan developed big data solutions for electronic trading platforms and improved system architectures using Java and OOD principles. At Venus Technology Ventures, Inc., Yanan developed AI chatbots and Natural Language Processing tools, contributing to multiple frontend integrations and optimizing database performance. Yanan's research background includes postdoctoral work at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, with significant contributions to energy projects and the publication of 12 peer-reviewed journals with over 510 citations.
