Yekta Zahed

Yekta Zahed, PhD, currently serves as an AI/ML Specialist at Google Cloud since August 2024, following a tenure as a Senior Applied AI Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at eClinical Solutions from September 2020 to August 2024. Prior experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at Insight Data Science, where Yekta collaborated with BioTrillion Company to enhance a disease detection application utilizing a CNN model. At the University of Illinois at Chicago, Yekta held positions as a Research Assistant, focusing on computational models of reaching movements, and as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate courses in mechanical engineering. Earlier research work at the University of Tehran involved designing a robot for laparoscopic surgeries, while an internship at HEDCO included the design of pressure vessels. Yekta holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran, and a Bachelor's degree from Shiraz University.
