Yiran Mao has extensive experience in both consulting and software engineering. Yiran began as a Summer Associate Intern at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where foundational skills in quantitative and qualitative research were developed, alongside the completion of 17 industrial research reports. Yiran then contributed to the Agriculture Bank of China as a Risk Management Assistant, proposing automated solutions that significantly increased efficiency and accuracy in reporting. As a Co-founder and Lead Frontend Engineer at Colorwork Inc., Yiran coordinated UI/UX efforts and implemented responsive frontend solutions. Subsequent roles included Full Stack Software Engineer at Symbolic IO, where Yiran managed a successful core application migration, and a Software Engineer position at Google, held since December 2015. Additional experience includes part-time assistance at Bain & Company, focused on comprehensive market research within the cosmetics industry.
