Leonhard Santiago Schneider

Leonhard Santiago Schneider is a Senior Consultant at GOPA mbH since October 2010, specializing in project administration and management in rural development and environmental initiatives in Latin America and Africa. Experience includes roles as Team Leader for the GIZ ProNDC Program in Colombia, focusing on implementation of mitigation and adaptation measures in agricultural value chains, and leading soil protection and rehabilitation efforts in Western Kenya as part of a global soil conservation program. Prior experience includes consultancy work with GIZ since 2000, and a role as Project Manager in rural development and environment at ASA Institut from 2008 to 2010. Academic background includes a Master's degree in Agriculture from the University of Hohenheim, earned in 2001, with a focus on plant production in tropical and subtropical regions.
