Mr. Yurman has worked as a consultant/contractor in the Cleveland, OH, area on project management for new product development for Thermo Fisher Scientific, Rockwell Automation, and the Spaceflight Systems Division at NASA Glenn. His specialty is managing third party design and product development firms in the U.S. and offshore teams in Europe and India.
Prior to working in northeast Ohio, Mr. Yurman worked for two decades as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy & Idaho National Laboratory (INL) where he held portfolios for technology commercialization, business development, and strategic planning at the lab. The INL is a center of excellence for nuclear engineering R&D.
In 2017 he took a year off to give back to the Cleveland community with a consulting project management role as an Encore Fellow, funded by the Cleveland Foundation, at Business Volunteers United. The purpose of the project was to improve the performance of nonprofits in the Cleveland metro area in their use of information technology.
Mr. Yurman holds a Masters Degree in urban planning and a Bachelors Degree in economics.
