Carmen Le

Carmen Le has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biotechnology and research. In 2022, they worked as a Research Associate 2 at Gordian Biotechnology. Prior to that, they were a Summer Research Intern at CytomX Therapeutics. From 2018 to 2022, Carmen worked at San Francisco State University, first as a Graduate Research Assistant and later as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. At SFSU, they conducted research on optimizing the extraction and purification of maize-produced Ag2 as a potential vaccine against Valley fever. Carmen also gained experience in protein detection, SDS PAGE gel, and Western Blot techniques. Carmen also worked as a Barista at Starbucks from 2016 to 2022. In 2020, they were a Summer Student Research Intern at the University of California, San Francisco, where they participated in protein designing in a pharmaceutical chemistry lab under the guidance of Dr. Bill DeGrado and Dr. Matthew Chalkley.

Carmen Le completed their Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University from 2016 to 2019. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at San Francisco State University from 2020 to 2022.
