Francisco LePort

Francisco LePort has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Francisco is the co-founder and CEO of Gordian Biotechnology, a company utilizing gene therapy and single cell sequencing to conduct cellular experiments in living animal models of age-related diseases. Prior to this, LePort co-founded and served as an advisor and CTO at Tachyus. Francisco played a critical role in fundraising, acquiring customers, and building a team for the organization. LePort also served as an advisor at Cuenca and as an investor in Boom Supersonic. In addition to their professional ventures, LePort has been involved in LePort Schools, a nationwide Montessori school company founded by their father, serving as a board member. Francisco has held positions at Integrated Plasmonics Corporation as a Director of Engineering and at Tesla as a Senior Research Scientist, leading the testing and development of battery safety features. LePort's educational background includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University, where they worked on the Enriched Xenon Observatory-200 experiment and managed various projects related to detector components and infrastructure. Prior to Stanford, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Irvine, focusing on the K2K neutrino oscillation experiment.

Francisco LePort completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics at UC Irvine from 1999 to 2003. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Physics at Stanford University, where they studied from 2003 to 2010.
