Karon Williamson

Trustee at Gordon College

Karon Williamson is a devoted Bible teacher, writer, speaker, and lover of the Word of God. Her career began in the sciences as a critical care nurse and clinical nursing director at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. After many years of service to the medical field, she transitioned her time to focus on glorifying the Lord through the arts. As president of the board of trustees of the Augusta Ballet, Karon lead the charge in bringing ballet companies that demonstrated the beauty of being God’s image bearers. Karon continued to bring about change in Augusta by raising funds and bringing attention to disenfranchised neighborhoods. One of her key projects included renovating two large historic properties into an inner-city Christian school and a Christ-centered healthcare practice.

Upon moving to the Greater Boston area two years ago, Karon has already devoted herself to serving the community by teaching the Bible and joining the Women’s Ministry Council of Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church. Currently, she is writing a book concerning the important contributions of women theologians in church history. Her previous pieces have been featured by The Gospel Coalition and NBC Channel 26 Women to Watch. Karon Williamson is a powerful Christian speaker, writer, and philanthropist but considers her best role to be an eternal student of the Bible.
