Matt VanDeventer has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to the present. In 2007, they worked as a Backline Worker at Hardee's until 2008. Then, they had various roles at Kwik Trip, including Cashier, Truck Unloader, and Shelf Stocker in 2008, and 3rd shift Cashier in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a contractor at American Family Insurance through ITx Solutions. Matt then joined TDS Telecommunications Corp. in 2011 as a Customer Repair Advisor, troubleshooting internet issues for residential customers. Later that year, they transitioned to TDS Telecom as a Customer Repair Advisor in a call-center environment. In 2012, they worked as a Technical Support Center Systems Engineer at Gordon Flesch Company for a few months before joining the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration as a Level 1 Help Desk support. At Gordon Flesch Company, they held roles as a Managed Print Application Specialist from 2016 to 2020, and currently, they are working as an Output Management Project Engineer.

Matt VanDeventer attended Deerfield High School from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained their HS Diploma with a focus on Math and Computer Science. Matt then enrolled at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2006, studying Aviation for a year. From 2007 to 2010, Matt attended Madison Area Technical College, completing a Program of IT Computer Systems Administrator Specialist.
