Farouk Ahamed

Appointed to the Board of Directors in 2011, Farouk Ahamed is President of ADF Invescap Inc., a corporate finance advisory firm. He was a partner of Ernst & Young LLP until 1995 and Senior Vice President of Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance Inc. until 2009. He’s a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University and served as a member and Chair of the Board of Governors for the academic institution. He has also volunteered with a number of organizations including Freeport Hospital, the Social Planning Council of Kitchener Waterloo and United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and graduated from the Kellogg School of Management Ernst & Young Executive Education Program, the Harvard Business School Ernst & Young Executive Education Program and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Registered Broker Series 7 and 63.
