Derek Caswell has worked in the software engineering industry since 2006. Derek began their career as a Computer Support Representative at Brigham Young University's Marriot School of Management in 2006. In 2007, they were an Interaction Design Intern at LDS Church - ICS. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Consultant for their own business, Caswell Web Creations. In 2009, they were a Level 1 Tech Support Engineer at Bluehost.com. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Quality Assurance Engineer at Grow America. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Lead Software Developer at SkyVantage Corporation. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Senior PHP Developer at Younique Products. Since 2019, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Ingo Money. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at GoReact.

Derek Caswell completed a Diploma from Harrisburg High School between 1994 and 1998. Derek then went on to earn a Bachelors in Information Technologies from Brigham Young University between 2001 and 2008.
