Erik Donohoo

Engineering Manager / Software Architect at GoReact

Erik Donohoo has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. From 2005 to 2006, they were a Shift Manager at Boondocks Fun Center, where they managed crew and operations of the facility and was responsible for all guest issues and safety, as well as the financials each night. From 2006 to 2010, they were a Full-Time Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Team Lead over Software Design for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where they worked on many projects in various languages, including Java, JSP, C#, C++, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET, Flex, and ActionScript. From 2012 to 2015, they were an Application Architect and ACM Webmaster for Brigham Young University, where they oversaw the re-write of the ACM website and added value for members and sponsors of the club by making it easier for them to connect with each other. Additionally, they were a Google Developer Group Provo Organizer for GDG from 2012 to 2015, where they were responsible for organizing events for the Provo chapter Google developer group and participated in the GDG North America Summit on Google's campus. Since 2015, they have been an Engineering Manager / Software Architect, Team Lead Developer of Code Quality & Standardization, and Senior Software Engineer at GoReact, where they manage all the development teams, helps ensure the teams are getting what they need, and does training and mentoring with the team leads and individual developers. Erik also leads the architecture design efforts for the company with their integrations with partners like McGraw Hill Education and Macmillan, is responsible for making sure all software written by the engineering teams is at the highest quality possible, and helps architect and plan the software roadmap while meeting deadlines required by 3rd parties who integrate with them.

Erik Donohoo attended Brigham Young University from 2008 to 2015, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
