Arved Sandstrom

Arved Sandstrom has extensive work experience in software development and consulting roles. Arved is currently working as a Senior Software Developer (Cloud) at GoSecure since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Home care services as a Software Developer from February 2019 to September 2020, where they were responsible for building a web/mobile application to support various aspects of home care business.

Arved Sandstrom has also worked as a self-employed Senior Consultant from August 2016 to September 2020, providing consultancy services. Arved was employed at IMP Solutions as a Senior Software Developer from 2017 to February 2019, where they played a key role in the development of a maintenance management system. Arved Sandstrom also worked as a Consultant/Developer at me/Concertia for a few months in 2017.

In addition, Arved Sandstrom has experience as a Senior Software Consultant/Architect/Application Developer, CEO/CTO, and Senior Architect/Software Developer through their work with Available for Contract or Hire, Private consultant, and MagicLamp Software, respectively. Arved was involved in various software development projects, providing consultation and business analysis services.

Arved Sandstrom has also been an Emeritus Member at The Apache Software Foundation from 2001 to 2014, and they have a keen interest in ASF activities and is a member of the W3C community WG for Print Technologies.

Arved Sandstrom completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Dalhousie University from 1979 to 1983. Arved then pursued a Certificate in Software Engineering from DalTech, which they completed from 1982 to 1984.

In addition to their formal education, Arved Sandstrom obtained several certifications. In January 2013, they became a certified WebSphere MQ 7.0 System Administrator from IBM. Furthermore, they obtained a Software Development Diploma from TUNS in June 2001.
