Jie Yao

Jie Yao has a significant amount of work experience in the software engineering field. Jie started their career in 1990 as a Principal Software Engineer at Open Software Foundation, where they worked until 1997. From 1995 to 1996, they also worked as a Consultant at Digital. Jie then joined Sitara Networks in 1997, where they served as the VP of Software Development until 2003. After that, they became a Principle Software Engineer at Legra from 2003 to 2004 and then at Verdasys from 2004 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Director Engineer at Converged Access. Afterwards, they joined EMC in 2007 as a Consultant Software Engineer. Jie moved on to Blue Coat Systems in 2008, where they served as a Principle Software Engineer/Manager for almost a decade until 2017. Finally, they joined GoSecure in 2017 as a Senior Software Architect and continues to work there currently.

Jie Yao began their education at Peking University in 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1982. Jie then continued their studies at Peking University, earning a Master of Science in Computer Science between 1982 and 1985. After a break in their education, Jie Yao pursued a Doctor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1987 to 1993.
