Michael Folia has a long history of working in operations and communications roles. Michael began their career in 2005 as a Security Officer and Dispatcher for Irvine Spectrum Security. In 2006, they moved to the City of Richland as an Emergency Dispatcher. In 2008, they were promoted to Police Communications Supervisor and Communications Specialist at the City of Peoria, Arizona. In 2015, they became an Independent Contractor for PowerPhone, specializing in the development, presentation, and delivery of training material involving emergency and non-emergency communications. In 2016, they were appointed Police Communications Manager and interim Police Assistant Director at the City of Avondale. In 2022, they were appointed Vice President Operations at Goserco, Inc.
Michael Folia attended Capistrano Valley High School from 2000 to 2004. In 2014, they completed the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training General Instructor School, earning an AZ POST Certified General Instructor in Law Enforcement Communications. In 2021, they are currently attending Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command.
