Carol MacDonald has over 25 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry. Carol began their career as a Staff Occupational Therapist at Lyndhurst Spinal Cord Hospital in 1993. Carol then moved to Toronto Occupational Therapy Associates as an Occupational Therapist in 1995. In 1997, they became the Owner and Managing Director at Fulcrum Consultants Inc. and the Occupational Therapy Supervisor at GENEX Services, Inc. In 2008, they were appointed as the Director of Occupational Therapy Services at Lifemark Health Centre. In 2012, Carol co-founded myPSW and served as President, providing an affordable Home Care option to access Personal Support Workers (PSW) directly. In 2017, they became an Innovation Consultant, proactively bringing clients new methodologies or concepts to consider as alternatives to their current paradigm. Most recently, in 2018, Carol co-founded Gotcare and serves as President, providing a personalized home care experience for case managers and their clients.
Carol MacDonald began their education in 1985 at McMaster University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Gerontology/Sociology in 1988. Carol then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, which they completed in 1993. In 2012, they were accepted and deferred to pursue a Master's Degree in Masters of Health Administration at the University of Toronto.
