Mike O'Neill has a diverse work experience spanning over four decades. Mike began their career as a Marine Operations Engineer, responsible for the operation and maintenance of power generation systems on ships. Mike then transitioned into the automotive industry, working as an Engineering Manager for SKD Automotive Group, where they managed design engineers and sales engineers for global customers.
Later, O'Neill joined Kongsberg Automotive as the Director of Product Management and Strategic Marketing, reporting directly to the President. Mike was responsible for strategic planning, global marketing, and product/process R&D. During their time there, they also had control over regional technology managers.
O'Neill then worked at Wabash Technologies/Sensata as a Product Manager, focusing on powertrain sensors and electronic pedals. In this role, they aimed to improve operations profitability through complexity reduction and restructuring product lines.
Afterwards, O'Neill became an owner and partner at Contour Metrological & Manufacturing, Inc., serving as the Vice President of Operations and Engineering. Mike acquired the business operation and implemented systems and structure to enable sales growth, capacity increase, and profitability.
Following that, O'Neill took on the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Contour Metrological & Manufacturing, Inc., until they sold their ownership stake. During this time, they led sales and business development efforts, targeting strategic partnerships, new sales channels, and implementing quoting and pricing strategies.
O'Neill then joined FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as a contractor, where they engaged in contract work to create investment models, tooling budgets, and analyze tooling purchase order contracts for electric and hybrid vehicle powertrain systems. Mike also provided negotiation guidance to the purchasing department and made recommendations for cost optimization and process choice.
Prior to their current position, O'Neill worked at Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd. (CATL) as the North America Sales Director, leading sales and commercial efforts for the company in the region.
Currently, O'Neill serves as the Vice President of EV Sales at Gotion Inc., a role they started in May 2023.

Additionally, they graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the Great Lakes Maritime Academy. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Wayne State University. Furthermore, they completed their undergraduate studies at Wayne State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
