Maël Primet has held a variety of positions since 2005. In 2008, they were an Ingénieur du Corps des Mines for the French Ministry of Industry. Maël then had an internship on abstract interpretation of computer programs at the NASA Ames Research Center in 2005. In 2009, they were a Research intern at Hypios. In 2011, they were a Chargé de mission Très haut débit for the Direction Générale de la Compétitivité, de l'Industrie et des Services. In 2012, they were a Co-founder of 8pen, which aims at changing the way we write on everyday digital devices. In 2013, they were a Co-founder of Snips. In 2015, they became a Pledger at https://www.linkedin.com/company/founders-pledge, a community dedicated to improving how we fund solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Co-Founder of Gouach, the first fully repairable electric battery.
Maël Primet received their Master of Science in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computer Vision from Ecole normale supérieure between 2003 and 2008. Maël then went on to receive their PhD in Mathematics and Computer Vision from Université Paris 5 Descartes between 2008 and 2011. Maël also completed a Masters in Machine-Learning & Computer Vision from MVA.
