Ralf Ferner

Ralf Ferner has gained considerable work experience in various industries over the years. Ralf started their career at Bank of America International as a Back-Office Employee in 1989. Ralf then worked as a Foreign Exchange Trader at Banque Ippa & Associes from 1991 to 1994, followed by a similar role at Svenska Handelsbanken from 1994 to 1997. Ralf then took on a new challenge and became the Owner/Manager of Kowalski Bar/Restaurant from 1997 to 1999.

In 2000, Ralf joined SEB, where they held multiple roles including Accountant, Senior Private Banker, Head of Investment Strategy, and Global Head of Fund of Funds and Asset Allocation. Ralf also served as the Deputy Managing Director and Head of Institutional and Fund Services. Ralf progressed within the company to become the Managing Director and Chairman of the AIFM Investment Committee. Ralf held directorships and supervisory board memberships at SEB subsidiary companies. Ralf's tenure at SEB lasted from 2000 to 2015.

From 2016 to 2018, Ralf took a sabbatical before joining Germandrones GmbH as the Chief Executive Officer. Germandrones focuses on developing and producing unmanned aerial systems for various professional purposes. Ralf then joined RMG Advisory in 2018 as an Independent Director, Interim Manager, and Governance/Risk Management Consultant.

Ralf's most recent position is at Governance.com, where they serve as the Chief Governance Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors. Governance.com is a Low-Code Business Process Management platform that helps businesses in the asset management industry optimize their processes through automation.

Ralf Ferner's education history began with their studies at Eifel Gymnasium from 1972 to 1985, where they obtained their Allgemeine Hochschulreife (Baccalaureate). During this time, they focused on subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, German, and Geography.

In 1992 to 1993, they pursued the ACI Forex Diploma at ACI - The Financial Markets Association. Then, in 2002 to 2003, Ralf Ferner attended Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, where they obtained the Financial Consultant (Frankfurt School)® degree.

In 2005 to 2006, Ferner participated in the SEB Leadership Development Programme, specifically focusing on the Core Leadership Programme. Following this, they furthered their education in 2007 with the SEB Executive Development Programme, specializing in the International Business Seminar.

Continuing their executive education, Ralf Ferner joined the Stockholm School of Economics in 2010 to 2011, enrolling in the FEM Programme 2010 for Executive Management.
