Sheldon Lacy

Sheldon Lacy is the current Chief Risk & Governance Officer at Canopius. Sheldon has held this position since November 2019. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director at AmTrust at Lloyd's from May 2017 to November 2019. Before that, they were the CRO - ASL at ANV from February 2016 to May 2017. Sheldon has also worked as the Group Risk Director - London at Validus Group from July 2012 to February 2015, and as the Head of Business Insight at Talbot Underwriting Ltd from February 2015 to February 2016. Sheldon started their career as a Risk Manager at Codan in January 2007, before moving to RSA in June 2009 where they became the Head of Group Financial Risk. In January 2005, Sheldon took on the role of Risk Manager at LTSB, which they held until December 2005.

Sheldon Lacy received a Master of Physics degree from the University of Hull. Sheldon also attended St Dominic's International School and Saudi Arabian International School. In addition, they completed a Leadership in Management and Administration Inspirational Leadership program at Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.

Sheldon Lacy works with Barbara Turner - Chief HR Officer, Lindsay Astor - Chief of Staff & Head of Strategic Development, and Lisa Davis - Chief Executive, US & Bermuda. Sheldon Lacy reports to Neil Robertson, Group CEO.
