Alison's earlier career includes serving as Downtown Development Specialist for the City of Denton and Main Street Director for the City of Gatesville. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of North Texas, a Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Texas at Austin, and ongoing studies at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, along with professional development through the International City/County Management Association and the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia.
