Mark Urwin

Mark Urwin has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Executive Director of Energy Economics and Royalties at BC Public Service since May 2008. In this role, Mark guides the team in implementing statistical analysis and economic modelling for both domestic and international energy markets while fostering collaborations with similar agencies. Previously, Mark held various positions, including a/Executive Director of Energy Information and Analysis, where Mark built a new team focused on understanding British Columbia's energy system and its alignment with government priorities. Mark's earlier career includes significant roles at the Bank of Canada, culminating in the position of Senior Analyst. Mark earned a Master’s degree in Economics from Carleton University between 1999 and 2002.
