Tim Houston

Tim Houston currently serves as the Premier of Nova Scotia, having held this position since August 2021. Houston has been the Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia since October 2018 and has been an MLA for Pictou East since October 2013, representing the interests of constituents in that region. Prior to these roles, Houston was a leadership candidate for the Progressive Conservative Party and has held various positions in the corporate sector, including President of znanja Inc. and CFO of Velsoft Training Materials Inc. Houston's earlier career includes significant roles at Enstar Group and Deloitte Bermuda, focusing on financial projects and large-scale software implementations, respectively. Educational credentials include a Chartered Accountant designation from the Nova Scotia Institute of Chartered Accountants and a degree from Saint Mary's University.
