Somali Panda

Somali Panda serves as the Founder President (Hon) of the INDUS BAND FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization dedicated to various cultural initiatives since May 2021. With a rich background in music, Somali Panda has also held the position of Resource Specialist in Migrating Music at INDUS BAND FOUNDATION since May 2005 and has worked as a Public Sector Official for the Government of West Bengal since April 2000, contributing as a vocalist, researcher, and cultural activist. Performances and concerts span Indian Classical and World Music, along with extensive writing on music theory, history, and cultural exploration related to migration. Somali Panda conceptualized the #MigratingMusic initiative with INDUS BAND and served as a music composer for the documentary "Ichamoti," showcasing the cultural ties between India and Bangladesh. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of North Bengal.
