R. Wayne Jones

R. Wayne Jones is the Vice President for Government Affairs at Govini, where they focus on national security policy analysis encompassing defense, intelligence, veterans, and foreign affairs issues. Previously, Jones served as Vice President for Mission at SAFE and as National Security Policy Advisor for both the US Senate and Senator Rob Portman. They have held significant roles in the US Marine Corps, including Director of the Marine Senate Liaison and Regimental Commander at Parris Island, where they implemented policies that improved recruit training outcomes. Jones holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Virginia Military Institute and is pursuing advanced degrees in National Security Studies and Military Operational Art and Science.
