Michael Tsardakas

Michael Tsardakas has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and education. Michael started their career as a Tutor of Mathematics/Physics, working as a self-employed professional from October 2008 to June 2012. Following that, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Heriot-Watt University from October 2012 to May 2016. Subsequently, Tsardakas joined Skyscanner as a Data Scientist in May 2016 and remained with the company until May 2019. Michael then moved on to Gower Street Analytics, where they held the roles of Senior Data Scientist from May 2019 to May 2021, and currently, they serve as the Lead Data Scientist from May 2021.

Michael Tsardakas completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2005 to 2011, they attended the National Technical University of Athens, where they obtained a Diploma (MSc equivalent) in Applied Mathematics/Physics. Subsequently, they pursued further studies at Heriot-Watt University from 2013 to 2021, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Mathematics.
