Maricica Nistor, PhD.

Maricica Nistor, PhD. has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Maricica began as a Supplier Quality Engineer at Continental Automotive Romania SRL in 2007, then moved to a Research Engineer position at Instituto de Telecomunicações in 2008. In 2012, they were a Visiting Researcher at Cisco Systems. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Research Engineer at the M2Bee Project. During the same time period, they were also a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Coimbra, where they developed decision support models for an integrated energy management system of the residential/commercial buildings and neighbourhoods sector. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Project Manager/Research Engineer at CEiiA // Centre of Engineering and Product Development, where they prepared National and European funding proposals and project kick-offs, charters, and planning. In 2017, they became an Evaluator at the European Commission. Finally, in 2019, they took on the role of Technical Project Manager at Daloop.

Maricica Nistor, PhD. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași in 2002-2007. Maricica also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching Education and Training Program from Universitatea Tehnică “Gh. Asachi” din Iași in 2002-2007. Maricica then obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electronics Engineering from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași in 2007-2008. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) (MAP-tele program) in Telecommunications Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in 2008-2014.
